Hi I’m Suzan DelBene and I’m running for Congress.

The 2010 election marks a critical turning point. Too many people are without work and struggling to make ends meet. We need solutions to the many challenges we face including health care, education and climate change. While these are difficult and complex issues, I’m optimistic about our future.

As I’ve campaigned throughout the 8^th District, I’ve been inspired by the thousands of people I’ve met who are united by common hopes and dreams. They want to work hard to build strong communities and give their children educational opportunities that offer the skills and knowledge to thrive in the future. They seek security for their families but remain generous in their desire to help their neighbors, even when times are tough.

I believe the time has come to elect a representative for the 8^th Congressional District who will place people above politics and push for policies that enable our citizens to transform their talents, hard work, and creativity into new opportunities.

We need a leader who values innovation and expertise over partisanship; someone with the real world experience needed to solve problems and get things done.

After spending more than 20 years building innovation-based businesses that create good jobs for talented, hard working men and women, I understand the role that government can play in fostering sustainable economic growth. I also believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to build a better life.
